Stevenson University Marketing Student Joins Polished Nichols as a Summer Intern, Bringing Creativity, Leadership, and a Passion for Marketing and Events

At Polished Nichols Public Relations & Marketing, we know that investing in the next generation of communications professionals benefits everyone. It creates opportunities for emerging talent to gain real-world experience while bringing new ideas, creativity, and energy to our team. We’re excited to welcome Jillian Thayer as our Summer Marketing & Event Planning Intern.

Jillian is a rising sophomore at Stevenson University, where she is pursuing a degree in Marketing with a minor in Graphic Design and a professional minor in Event Planning. Through both her coursework and campus leadership roles, she has developed a strong foundation in marketing, communications, event planning, and visual storytelling.

Jillian is a member of Stevenson University’s Honors Scholars Program and Leadership Scholars Program and was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success this spring. She currently creates content for the Leadership Scholars Social Media Entertainment Team and will take on several leadership positions this fall, including Event Coordinator for the Fashion, Apparel, and Design Club, Event Coordinator and Secretary for the FMI Club, mentor in the Leadership Scholars Mentorship Program, and member of Stevenson University’s American Marketing Association chapter.

Throughout the summer, Jillian will work with Natalie and Nicole, supporting company and client social media campaigns, content creation, public relations initiatives, and event planning while gaining firsthand experience in a fast-paced agency environment.

“We love giving students the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and be part of the work we do every day,” said Nicole Halsey, Managing Partner. “Jillian has a genuine enthusiasm for marketing and communications, asks thoughtful questions, and isn’t afraid to jump in. We’re looking forward to helping her gain valuable experience while giving her the chance to contribute in meaningful ways for Polished Nichols and our clients.”

Natalie Van Buskirk, Managing Partner, added, “Jillian has a natural attention to detail and a creative eye that are hard to teach. Whether she’s developing social media content or helping bring an event to life, she approaches every project with organization, creativity, and enthusiasm. Those qualities fit perfectly with the way we serve our clients, and we’re excited to see her talents continue to grow this summer.”

Please join us in welcoming Jillian to the Polished Nichols team. We look forward to a great summer together and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make.
